Bryan/College Station Women of Distinction Spotlight - Dr. Erin Fleener, M.D.


Dr. Erin Fleener, M.D. 
Erin Fleener grew up in San Antonio and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M.  She then returned to San Antonio to attend medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center.  Prior to graduating, she received both the Paul Culter Award and the O. Roger Hollan, M.D. Award for outstanding performance in internal medicine.  Erin pursued a residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, and completed her training for Medical Oncology at University Texas Southwestern in Dallas.  

Erin currently works as a Medical Oncologist in Bryan, and she regularly volunteers with Surviving and Thriving, the Pink Alliance, as well as serving on the Board of Hospice Brazos Valley.  She is an Associate Clinical Professor for the Texas A&M Health Science Center, and she was awarded the Texas Super Doctors Rising Star award by Texas Monthly in 2012. Girl Scouts of Central Texas is proud to honor Erin for her example of leadership and excellence. 

Erin is known to friends and colleagues for her energy and positive attitude.  She enjoys being with her kids, jogging, reading, traveling, and a great BBQ with family and friends.
